The Essential Components to an Equity Dialogue with Dr. Reece Malone of Diversity Essentials
Manitoba Employment Equity Practitioners Association (MEEPA) is hosting a webinar on Thursday, May 12th from 8:30 to noon on The Essential Components to an Equity Dialogue with Dr. Reece Malone of Diversity Essentials. Manitoba Start is the title sponsor of this MEEPA webinar.
Conversations that center around marginalized populations and communities are often met with ambivalence, uncertainty, and insecurity especially when values and attitudes are in conflict or collide. Rooted in trauma-informed approaches, this virtual session by Dr. Reece Malone introduces the process of how to have a meaningful conversation that invites transformative shifts to identity-based stereotyping, and common phrases or statements that are perceived as dismissive or unintentionally discriminatory.
In this experiential workshop, participants will:
• Identify and explore implicit and explicit bias
• Explore life themes for marginalized communities
• Learn the essentials and application of having a meaningful equity and inclusion dialogue
There is no charge for MEEPA members to attend this event.
Corporate Members can register up to four participants.
(Additional Corporate registrations are $25/ea.)
Associate and Full members can register one each.
